Snowmobiling

Manitouwadge gets an impressive amount of snow each winter, creating a true playground for snowmobilers. Ride across untouched winter landscapes, carve fresh tracks through deep powder, or head out on a full‑day expedition into the frozen Canadian Shield. The terrain feels endless — wide‑open stretches, rolling hills, and forest corridors that turn every outing into an adventure.

Our community sits directly on the regional snowmobile trail network, giving riders seamless access to groomed routes maintained by the Marathon Sno‑Kickers Snowmobile Club. Whether you’re heading out for a quick loop or planning a multi‑day ride, you can hit the trails right from town.

For sledders looking to push farther, the region offers a maze of abandoned logging roads and rugged backcountry routes. Whether you’re after a smooth cruise or a more challenging off‑trail experience, Manitouwadge delivers some of the most rewarding snowmobiling terrain in the area.

Every February on Family Day weekend, Manitouwadge becomes the centre of high‑octane winter action with the Kiwissa Ski Hill Snowmobile Hill Climb & Drag Races. Riders from across the region gather to test their skill and horsepower on the slopes of Kiwissa.
