Cemetery
The Manitouwadge Cemetery is owned and operated by the Township of Manitouwadge. It is regulated by municipal by-laws, provincial legislation, and is licensed by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO).

Location
The cemetery is located on Caramat/Industrial Road, approximately 1 km from the intersection of Highway 614 and Caramat/Industrial Road.
Visiting Hours
The cemetery is open daily from 8:00 a.m. until sundown.
Seasonal Closure
The cemetery is closed from November 15 to April 30, weather permitting. Burial services are also unavailable during this period due to winter conditions.
Cemetery Lot Availability
The Manitouwadge Cemetery consists of four sections:
- Section 1 – No lots available
- Section 2 – Lots currently available
- Sections 3 and 4 – Reserved for future development
Each lot can accommodate:
- One full interment, and
- Up to four cremated remains

Care and Maintenance Fund
The Care and Maintenance Fund was established under provincial legislation in 1928 to ensure long-term upkeep of cemetery grounds.
Fees collected for care and maintenance are invested, and the income supports:
- Re‑levelling of graves
- Sodding or seeding
- General grounds maintenance
- Preservation and security of the cemetery
