Council

Manitouwadge Town Council is the municipal governing body for the Township of Manitouwadge. It is made up of one Mayor and four Councillors, all elected to represent the community.

Each member of Council serves a four‑year term. The current Council began its term on November 22, 2022.

How Does Town Council Affect You?

Town Council is responsible for making decisions that shape daily life in Manitouwadge. These decisions guide how municipal services are delivered, including:

Water and wastewater services
Road maintenance and construction
Community services
Environmental and sustainability initiatives
Recreation and leisure programs
Emergency services (fire)

Every decision Council makes has a direct impact on residents, businesses, and the overall well‑being of the community.

All Council meetings are open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend. Meetings take place on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

Exceptions: In July, August, and December, Council meets only on the second Wednesday of the month.

To appear as a delegation, submit a written request to the Clerk at least 10 days before the meeting. All presentation materials must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday before the meeting.
