About the Manitouwadge Fire Department

The Manitouwadge Fire Department operates from a single Fire Hall, located within the Municipal Office at 1 Mississauga Drive, in the centre of town. The department is staffed by a part‑time Fire Chief and twenty‑one paid on‑call (volunteer) Firefighters.

The department provides service using two triple‑combination pumpers and a rescue truck. For off‑road and trail emergencies, specialized equipment includes a snowmobile and a side‑by‑side ranger.

The Manitouwadge Fire Department delivers a full range of emergency and public safety services, including:

• Structural fire suppression
• Vehicle extrication
• Rescue operations
• Ice and water rescue
• Fire Code and Fire Prevention inspections
• Fire and Life Safety education

Service is provided throughout the Township and, through mutual aid agreements, to surrounding municipalities.
