The Township of Manitouwadge is pleased to announce that RML Contracting has been awarded the contract for upgrades to both the front entrance and rear arena entrance at the Manitouwadge Recreation Centre.
These improvements will help enhance accessibility while creating a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming space for residents, visitors, and user groups who enjoy our facilities year-round. The project reflects the Township’s ongoing commitment to improving community infrastructure and ensuring our public spaces remain modern, functional, and accessible for everyone.
In addition, RML Contracting has also been awarded the contract for upgrades to the Public Works building. Planned improvements include:
– Updated HVAC systems
– Renovated washrooms and locker areas
– New energy-efficient lighting upgrades
These upgrades will improve comfort, efficiency, and working conditions for staff while helping modernize important municipal facilities that support daily operations throughout our community.
RML Contracting is scheduled to arrive in Manitouwadge beginning May 19, with construction to follow shortly thereafter. During this period, residents may notice increased activity around the Recreation Centre and Public Works facilities, including construction vehicles, temporary access adjustments, including accessible access and some daytime noise. Any required changes to parking or building access will be clearly posted to ensure safe and convenient use of the facilities.
