Mission Statement

The Township of Manitouwadge Community Services Department, in partnership with our Citizens and Community Partners, will provide for the efficient and affordable delivery of Recreation and Leisure Services. This includes facilities, programs, special events and support that will motivate people to participate in a variety of opportunities that will shape the long-range planning and management of the Community Services Department.

What does Community Services Do?

The Community Services Department is responsible for the year-round planning, maintenance and programming of 3 playgrounds, 2 parks, walking trails, Lions Beach, ballfield, golf course, ski hill and Community Centre facilities, including the Oasis Pool. Community Services employs 3 full time staff, 3 seasonal staff, 1 programmer and many student positions throughout the winter and summer months.

The Community Services Department is always seeking new program ideas and instructors. Don’t hesitate to contact the department if you have something you would like to present to us as a new opportunity.
