The Township of Manitouwadge invites you to participate in our cleanup week being offered to residential areas in Manitouwadge. Do your part to keep our community attractive and inviting!
Please place your outdoor organic material in neatly raked or swept piles, or in yard waste bags, next to the roadway on June 8-9, no later than June 10 at 8:00am for pickup. Each street will only be completed once during Spring Cleanup week.
Outdoor organic materials include:
- Branches (bundled with lengths not exceeding 3ft for any branch)
- Dead grass
- Leaves etc.
Please note: pickup of appliances, furniture, household and/or pet waste, and hazardous waste are not part of this event. If you require disposal of these items, the landfill will be open (tipping fees waived) for non-hazardous waste disposal on:
- Tuesday June 11th through Friday June 14th from 10:00am to 2:00pm
- Saturday June 15th from 9:00am to 3:30pm
Only permitted items placed at the roadside for the Spring Cleanup will be collected by Public Works. Anything not permitted will be the sole responsibility of the homeowner to properly dispose of. If you are unsure sure what should be included in this event, please contact Public Works at (807) 826-3227 ext. 230.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection will not be held in conjunction with our Spring Cleanup. Please save your hazardous waste materials safely until Saturday, September 21, 2024.
