Celebrating Investments in Manitouwadge

This week, the Township of Manitouwadge was pleased to join MPP Bill Rosenberg in highlighting several important investments that are strengthening our community through recreation, public spaces, and library services.

$2 million in NOHFC funding is helping support significant upgrades to the Manitouwadge Recreation Centre, ensuring this important community hub continues to serve residents and visitors for years to come.

$93,000 from NOHFC will support the construction of a new pavilion over the waterfront stage, creating a more functional and weather-protected venue for concerts, festivals, performances, and community celebrations.

$71,800 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) helped fund renovations at the Manitouwadge Public Library. Completed improvements included electrical upgrades, new flooring, updated shelving, a redesigned circulation area, and an expanded children’s space. These enhancements have improved accessibility, increased access to technology, expanded programming opportunities, and created a more welcoming environment for library users of all ages.

These investments help strengthen our community by enhancing recreation opportunities, supporting lifelong learning, improving public spaces, and creating more opportunities for residents and visitors to connect, engage, and thrive.
