The proposed repository would safely manage: • Intermediate-level radioactive waste
• Non-fuel high-level radioactive waste
• Potentially, used nuclear fuel from future Canadian reactors
The NWMO is seeking feedback from municipalities, Canadians, and Indigenous Peoples to help refine the site selection process for the second DGR beginning in 2028.
The proposed process is based on:
• Technical Safety
• Community Willingness
What to Expect
These are structured workshops—not open houses.
Participants will: • Learn about the proposed site selection process
• Ask questions
• Provide feedback directly to the workshop facilitators
