The Township of Manitouwadge is pleased to announce the completion and official launch of six new Level-2 Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers, installed this past summer. Thanks to funding support from Earth Day Canada and Aviva, these chargers are now fully operational and available to residents and visitors.
Expanding Local EV Infrastructure
The new chargers are the first public EV charging stations in Manitouwadge, addressing a critical need for the travelling public and strengthening the community’s commitment to sustainable transportation.
- 4 chargers located at the Manitouwadge Recreation Centre
- 2 chargers located at the Township Office
These convenient locations allow users to charge their vehicles while enjoying recreational programming, community events, and the many restaurants and retail shops in downtown Manitouwadge.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
To celebrate this milestone, the Township invites the public to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony:
