• Current Lifesaving Society Instructor qualifications
• Current National Lifeguard Certification
• Minimum age of 16
• Experience as a lifeguard or instructor an asset
• First Aid Certification


DAYS PER WEEK:  Monday-Sunday (approximately 30-35hrs/week at $17/hour)



• Is responsible to maintain high safety standards at all times
• Required to assist in any maintenance or other such tasks as assigned by the Pool Supervisor
• Is responsible to plan, organize and implement lessons at all levels which will include:
-Preparing long range and daily lesson plans as advised by Pool Supervisor
-Keeping progress records for all pupils
-Continuous evaluation on candidates
• Required to assist in the implementation of special events
• Required to lifeguard as requested and to assume all responsibilities of leader/guard at that time
• Is responsible for maintaining a good image for the facility, for maintaining good public relations and to promote aquatics
in Manitouwadge
• Assist with taking payments for swim passes and swim lessons
• Depending on level of qualifications may be asked to assume supervisory position in the absence of Pool Supervisor
• Required to wear proper aquatic uniform while on duty
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pool Supervisor
